Standard DNA testing - one test

Testing for the 6-9 most common bacteria and parasites carried by each type of tick. Tests are assigned by our scientists when your tick is identified in the lab.
DNA + RNA testing - one test

This level of testing detects 7 viruses in addition to the bacterial and protozoan pathogens included in the Standard DNA test.
Comprehensive testing - one test
$150 (Save 25% - regularly $200)
The Comprehensive testing level applies all available tests (currently 25) to any tick sample.

FAQs
Who or What is MedZu Labs?
MedZu (a play on Medical Zoology—the subject of all our research) is the name for our lab, and all of our work falls under that umbrella. TickReport.com testing is the core of our research, but we also study tick ecology, pathogen transmission, tick repellents, mosquito surveillance and arbovirus testing, and other topics related to the intersection of people, other animals, and arthropod vectors.
What will I receive when I purchase prepaid testing?
Within 72 hours of purchase you will receive an email with unique one-time coupon codes (e.g. “X2Y5Z8KG1B”) for each prepaid tick test. Codes can be redeemed for future tick testing through the TickReport lab.
When can I use my prepaid test codes?
2023 codes are activated on January 1, 2023. They never expire, and will always be valid for the selected level of testing even if testing fees increase in the future.
How many tests can I purchase?
There is no limit on the number of prepaid codes you can purchase, and they can be transferred to family, friends, neighbors, clients, or anyone else that needs to test a tick. If you are interested in distributing large numbers (20+) to employees and clients, or if you are interested in partnering with TickReport to expand tick pathogen surveillance in your community, please contact us at support@TickReport.com to discuss custom pricing.
How can we offer this reduced price?
Prepaid vouchers make tick testing more affordable because we can purchase supplies and reagents in bulk during slower times of year to prepare for the next tick season. This is our third year of partnering with suppliers and community members to make tick testing as accessible as possible. We also make use of contributions from users and community members who support tick surveillance for our community.
